Investment Banking

We are experienced in assisting companies considering different ways of meeting their capital needs. We are here to help the small business person maneuver through a "minefield" of bureaucratic and legal challenges that if left unattended could prevent the business from achieving their goals.

Who We Are

In business since 1981, Swartwood Hesse, Inc., has more than 75 years of combined experience in investment banking. Our goal is to serve the financing needs of small business owners seeking growth capital through private placements of equity or debt.  We are also experienced in advising companies with respect to merger and acquisition transactions.  Our successful track record and reputation in Investment Banking, along with our widespread industry contacts make us a solid choice to meet the needs of investors in and managers of small growth companies.

Back in the 1970's, Marshall Swartwood cofounded Faherty & Swartwood, a boutique venture banking firm that was a leader in underwriting and financing early stage growth companies.  As mentioned in the best-selling book, Barbarians At The Gate...the fall of RJR Nabisco (Bryan Burroughs and John Helyar, 1990) Henry Kravis and Teddy Forstman, who were legendary pioneers in the private equity world, had their early start on Wall Street at Faherty & Swartwood. We pride ourselves on the relationships we have developed and maintained with creative entrepreneurs, innovative professionals, and successful investors.  We are constantly on the look out for ways to share those relationships and develop new ones.
